December 10th - Organizing a Christmas Concert
For 3rd year, the Delegation of the European Union in Canada in cooperation with the diplomatic missions of the Member States of the European Union held a Christmas Concert, which took place on the 10th of December 2010 at the Notre – Dame Cathedral in Ottawa.
During the concert, there were presented Christmas carols and traditional songs by 15 countries of the European Union, Greece included. The attendance of the audience was remarkable with the presence of about 1.300 people, among which were members of the diplomatic missions in Ottawa and local media representatives.
The organization of the Concert was undertaken by a five - member team, in which participated - on behalf of the Greek Embassy - Mrs. G. Marioli, First Secretary of the Press and Communication Office in Ottawa, in cooperation with executives of both the Embassies of Sweden and Finland.
November 22nd - Organizing the screening of a Greek film
The Press and Communication Office in Ottawa in cooperation with the Greek Embassy and the Canadian Film Institute organized, on the 22nd of November 2010, the screening of the Greek movie “Well Kept Secrets – Athanasia” by Panos Karkanevatos, at the Library and Archives Canada amphitheater.
The screening of the film took place within the 25th European Film Festival, which is held every November in Ottawa. The attendance of the audience was remarkable, with the presence of about 300 people, among which were members of the diplomatic missions in Ottawa, local media representatives, Canadian citizens and members of the Greek homogeny.
